Super 8 resorts and hotels in Poconas, Spain have opened to locals, and the region’s second most expensive city is on the lookout for ways to attract more international visitors.
Hotels and resorts in the Spanish town of Poconados, the second-most expensive in the country, have been opened to local residents, and Poconanas mayor Antonio de Leon says he’s looking at ways to make sure that locals can use them for leisure, with the intention of building a community and attracting tourists.
The city is already the most expensive in Spain with a median house price of 3.5 million euros ($3.6 million), but De Leon is now looking at expanding the area for tourism, and says it’s already working on a plan to make it one of the most popular tourist destinations in the region.
“The main focus is to make the hotel and the resort available to the public.
But also to give more attention to the tourism and cultural activities.
The main focus of our plan is to increase tourism and culture,” said De Leon, who hopes to attract up to 100,000 tourists to Poconinas annually.
The mayor is currently negotiating with a hotel chain to open up the Poconagos Super 8 Resort, a luxury hotel located at the top of the Pobodan hills.
The resort, which is scheduled to open in 2020, will include a swimming pool, fitness center, cinema, spa, fitness gym and sauna.
It will have three restaurants, a cinema and an outdoor amphitheater, all of which are located within 100 meters of each other, said De Luca.
It will also include a rooftop terrace that will provide 360 degrees of views of the nearby Pobodos mountains.
De Leon hopes to get a hotel lease in place by early 2021, and plans to start operating in 2019, but he says it’ll be a gradual process.
The hotel, which will be in the process of getting a business license, will also serve as a place for locals to socialize and work, with a bar and restaurant as well as a fitness center and saunas.
Pobodan’s tourism is growing rapidly, and there are currently 5,000 hotels in the town.
There are currently about 20,000 residents in the city, but the number is expected to double by 2021.
It’s also becoming a major center for European and other tourists, with foreign nationals coming from around the world to stay.
“In Pobodo we have so many opportunities to meet new people, it’s so exciting to see how they live, how they go about their day and how they interact with other people,” said resident Ana Alvarado.
“We are so excited to have the chance to experience the beauty of the city,” said Alvarados sister, Ana Maria Alvarada.
“It’s not only an opportunity to meet other locals, it is an opportunity for us to share our culture and our love of adventure.”
