The world’s oldest hotel is set to open next year in London and Dublin.
The Mavis Hotel in London will be the first hotel to open within a decade, while the hotel in Dublin will be open by the end of 2018.
The new hotels are expected to become the UK’s largest hotel portfolio in the next two years.
“London has been the UK destination of choice for international travellers for over 100 years and Dublin has seen record growth since Brexit.
The UK is poised to become one of the world’s top 10 tourism destinations in the near future,” a Mavis spokesperson said.
The new hotels will bring Mavis’ portfolio of more than 100 properties to more than 200 locations across the UK and Ireland, making the hotel brand one of Britain’s most successful.
According to Mavis, the Mavis hotels are the biggest in the UK with an average occupancy rate of nearly 65%.
“We have been building up the hotel portfolio for more than 20 years.
Our flagship hotel, Mavis Castle, has been our flagship for over a decade and now we are taking our sights even higher,” Mavis CEO John O’Neill said.
“We are expanding Mavis castle, the most luxurious hotel in the world, to London, with an exciting new design and the new Hotel Mavis.
Mavis Castle is the biggest hotel in Europe and is now being completed.
It is now the world most luxurious accommodation and will be a world-class destination for tourists.
The hotel will be London’s first hotel within a generation to be fully operational and open by next year.
Our UK hotels are now in the top 10 in the country and in the global list for the second consecutive year.
We will continue to grow and expand the portfolio and create more global destinations,” he said.
